Bone Marrow Transplantation (or Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation) This modern procedure is the only accepted method worldwide to cure beta-thalassemia diseases. The patients will need to have suitable HLA-matched healthy donors, possibly their own brothers / sisters or unrelated volunteers. We will test the patients blood, as well as potential donors, for the typing and matching and cooperate in circumstance of searching for appropriate unrelated donor is needed
